Happy Fall, everyone. It’s the season we’ve all been waiting for! I looove Fall for a number of reasons: 1) Layering (duh!), 2) the weather is the by far the best, 3) the holiday season is around the corner, and 4) my birthday is in November (very important information). I recently came back from my trip home to the Bay Area and I’m so happy to share some of the new Fall trends I discovered while shopping at Stanford Shopping Center.
My first stop was at Amour Vert, which is a local Bay Area brand that focuses on sustainability by using nontoxic dyes, sustainable fabrics, and ethical practices. I love the light, breathable fabrics and the Parisian inspired aesthetic of the new Fall collection. Plaid is a no-brainer for the season. I especially love the details of the Eugenie plaid top because of the tie feature that cinches around the waist. More chic, less lumberjack.
I also adore a good trench coat for the Fall season. I wore it over a striped long sleeve top, which is a quintessential piece in every woman’s wardrobe. The Francoise top in particular is super soft and stretchy making it perfect for running errands or going to multiple meetings.
My next stop was at Bloomingdales. I was sooo lucky because I happened to stop by while they were having two amazing shopping events. The first one was “The Makeup Date,” which is a beauty runway and preview of all the latest Fall beauty trends. They hold this event every year and if you buy a ticket to watch the show, you have tons of the chances to win exclusive beauty prizes. We’re not talking about trial or sample sizes; I mean full bottles of product, ladies! My boyfriend, Aylmer, and I enjoyed glasses of champagne and of hors d’oeuvres. Not pictured: the tons of truffle popcorn we immediately inhaled while enjoying the show.
One Fall beauty trend that will always remain classic is a bold red lip. Nars, which is my ultimate favorite beauty brand in the world, just released their Powermatte Lip Pigment this season. The consistency is so smooth and the staying power is unreal! Eating and drinking were no match for this one.
Bloomingdales also had their “Team Denim” event in which their denim was an extra 25% off. With that being said, of course I naturally gravitated towards the Levi’s rack and tried on a pair of their wedgie fit jeans. I know, I felt weird typing that out too, haha. As for the jeans, I don’t think I’m a huge fan. Yes, the shape’s great and it instantly gives you that booty, but you definitely have to sacrifice comfort to rock these.
As always, I had so much shopping at Stanford Shopping Center. They have everything from clothes, beauty, and amazing restaurants to choose from. Don’t forget to check out the mall if you’re ever in the Palo Alto Area.
