Hey babes! I just came back from my trip to the Bay Area a few weeks ago and did some holiday shopping at Stanford Shopping Center. While I was there, I stopped by MeUndies and Madewell to check out their new fall and winter collections. I was so excited to get a tour of the new MeUndies pop-up shop and check out their newest pieces of undergarments and lounge wear. All their clothes are ridiculously soft (so soft, I could seriously live in them). For this reason, their loungewear is the probably the perfect gift to give this holiday season. I got a pair of lounge bottoms and showed my mom later that day; she begged me to buy her a pair for Christmas, haha! They also have really cute and fun prints for for underwear. Aylmer and I took home matching gingerbread man undies to wear for the holiday season!
Next, I stopped by Madewell and got a feel for their new Fall/Winter collection as well. One of the first things I noticed upon walking into the store was that they were really into velvet! I’m talking dresses, tops, outerwear, and matching cami and culottes sets. Despite velvet having a reputation for being “fancy,” I really appreciate that Madewell made these pieces very wearable for everyday wear – not just for the holidays. Their whole vibe is effortless and laidback while being on-trend as well. This store is perfect for the stylish “t-shirt and jeans” gal in your life! Madewell is also known for their denim so of course I had to give them a try. Normally, I would always shy away from trying on denim in store because finding the perfect size is soooo difficult. I was lucky to find a pair of 10 in highwaisted, stretchy, skinny jeans that fit me perfectly. The pockets on my particular pair are sewn in a special way where it gives you shape and keeps everything in place. Yes…the perfect excuse to pig out on Thanksgiving and still good afterwards. I also happened to stumble upon a sherpa jacket that I fell head over heels in love with. If you know me, then you know I love anything with texture. The jacket had a trendy moto vibe while also being extremely warm. Again, another perfect piece to gift this holiday season as I think it’s very rare to find pieces that are both fashionable and functional these days.
If you happen to be in the Bay Area, then I encourage all of you to go to Palo Alto and stop by Stanford Shopping Center for all your holiday shopping needs. You won’t regret it! Happy Holidays, babes.
