Spring weather calls for crop tops, midi-length tea skirts, and the perfect all-around tote bag. In my second outfit in collaboration with JCPenney and Chictopia via Chictopia Connect, I decided to delve into unknown territory and bring out the girly-girl in me. I guess pretty flowers and great sunshine will do that to the most tom-boyish of ladies.
“I guess pretty flowers and great sunshine will do that to the most tom-boyish of ladies.”
Spring to me is all about transition, so I thought it appropriate to transition from my everyday tough/tomboyish look into a sweet and sophisticated one. Talk about Sugar & spice, am I right?
Like any outfit of mine, it sure isn’t void of any amount of texture and/or some sort of pattern. To make this outfit altogether “me”, what better way to incorporate 2 of my favorite fashion go-to’s: Stripes + Denim. It’s definitely a look I never tend to shy away from and together they create the most classic aesthetic.
Usually a “backpack” type of girl, this tote has easily become one of my all-time favorites. I’m guilty of losing things within my own bag, and I cannot count how many times I’ve lost my own cell phone within that gaping black hole! Although the huge amount of space is a plus, I always tend to stray away from large totes especially since I am notorious of just throwing things in and having a hard time finding them when needed. This tote however is the complete opposite. Not only does it come in this great neutral shade that is sure to go with everything (other colors available as well!), this tote has 6 pockets. Six! Let’s just say that besides style, organization and functionality was a key priority in the making of this design. The tote itself has a sleek shape design and a saffiano leather finish that adds the perfect amount of chic touch.
Besides “transition,” Spring is also about new beginnings and perhaps delving into more girlish territory is a new beginning for me. No complaints from me though. Aside from my usual tomboy looks, I guess it’s safe to say that this season has and will continue to bring out the “sugar & spice” in me without a doubt.
