Sunday school-girl vibes with an edgy twist. Wearing: Top Viparo/Skirt Thrifted/Shoes Alexander Wang
I’m paying homage to every student’s favorite time of the year: back to school! I’m totally kidding, of course. As a new college grad, I’m definitely happy that I’m finally done with all the tests, late-night study sessions, and the hectic assignment overload. However, I can’t help but feel somewhat lost, that I’ve lost some sense of security as I walked across that graduation stage. As a student, “security” is so easily overlooked with the excessive amount of stress; it literally takes a toll on you. One doesn’t realize how easy and routine school is, one doesn’t realize how “safe” it really is. However, being out in the real world is a whole different story.Every graduate’s nightmare is not knowing what to do next because once you’re out of the system, there is no safety net. Truth is, the most difficult part of your educational career is not school, not grades, not papers, etc. It is learning how to find the right path and deciding if the continuing journey is truly worth it. I’m still in that questioning phase, no doubt, but I’m hoping that path will reveal itself soon.
As for the outfit, back to school time calls for plaid skirts and fall attire. I love to rock leather in the fall, and this black leather crop top from Viparo is the perfect summer to fall transition staple. I also paired it with my favorite mules from Alexander Wang to add some sophistication into the outfit. Plus, they’re super easy to slip on and they work seamlessly with almost everything.
