Happy Valentine’s Day, people! Here’s me rocking one of the latest Spring trends: PINK, and a lot of it! I admit that I don’t have much pink in my own closet, however it’s been my favorite color for as long as I can remember, and I’m so glad it’s finally getting the recognition it deserves. I’m all for it. I’M CRAZY ABOUT IT. All shades from a light pastel, carnation, dusty, coral, salmon, pepto bismol, etc., it’s definitely a great color to work with any skin tone.

I decided to take this feminine color and toughen it up with some black mesh, mesh being a textile I’m totally obsessed with at the moment. I also wanted to push the look a bit further by channeling my inner “thug nasty goddess” (LOL) by adding a little bit of plaid print, a beanie, and my Deandri Helgas because my love for outrageous platforms is eternal. The beanie was actually a last minute purchase I made the day before as I was looking for a little “somethin-somethin” to complete this look. It’s in the perfect shade of bubblegum pink, a shade I’ve been looking for for so long, and for a whomping $7, I can honestly say it has been one of the best purchases I’ve made within 2014 thus far. As for the holiday, I don’t have a set plan in motion. I do think I deserve a little at-home pampering. After my week long NY trip, midterms at school, some “me” time is much needed. Lounging around in pajamas, mani/pedi, face masks, movies, stuffing my face with chips and chocolate truffles, you know, the whole shabang. I am however looking forward to spending “Gal-entine’s Day” tomorrow night with some of my closest gal-pals, and maybe get to wear an outfit as funky as this. Until next time, lovers.
xoxo Eda
