Decided to soak up the ‘vintage-like’ scenery that surrounds the old city of Downtown Niles. I guess Niles has some history behind it being it was where the infamous Charlie Chaplin shot most of his first silent films. It was said to have been ‘Hollywood in making’ during his era before ‘Hollywood’ became Hollywood of course. Now it’s like a historic landmark of ghost town that is filled with endless rows of antique stores and Mom and Pop liquor shops. All in all, I enjoyed venturing around the area. I love how this secluded city gives off a rural/western movie type of vibe. My outfit includes a somewhat over-sized knit sweater that I thrifted a couple years ago, ruffled chiffon loose-fitting shorts to add some girlishness, and another pair of buckled/studded pair of boots to toughen up the look (another great purchase from Forever 21 I made a few days ago). These shorts are the ultimate pair of comfort. I love how versatile the style is; it is the perfect example of style and comfort put together. The ruffles add a perfect touch of formal wear, and the fabric is comfortable and breathable enough to lounge in as sleep wear (not that I would wear it to sleep, just saying I could!) Also sporting my most favorite accessory in the entire world, my faux fur ball of a purse; ‘faux’ because I do not have the money nor the heart to wear genuine fur. However I enjoy incorporating texture in all my outfits, especially that of fur. The purse never ceases to disappoint. It’s so round that I literally throw everything inside it without having to worry if my purse is too big or not, and I really dig how it immediately gives off a boho-chic finish to my outfit.
