Part one of my first day in New York consisted of nothing but walking around the city, shopping til I dropped, soaking in the sights, and other typical touristy attractions. Just did a little bit of last minute shopping for a couple outfits and accessories for the upcoming events during the weekend. I found some really great statement pieces such as this bedazzled shoulder/necklace harness from H&M and this really great blue and gold stone necklace I grabbed from one of the local jewelry boutiques. I literally did a double take as I walked passed by this beauty in the front window. I’ve been on the hunt for a really great piece like this, so of course it had to be love at first site. Great thing was that everything in the store was an extra 50% off, so for only $19, it was definitely a no brainer. I decided to keep the outfit really casual since I expected to be walking around the whole day. I wore my lace detailed white tank top over a comfy pair of boyfriend jeans, threw on my cactus print fringe kimono with a drapey cutout in the back to go for a quirky boho vibe, and my gold studded buckled booties to finish off the look. I also wore my hair in a low tousled piggy tail bun to keep up with the quirkiness of the kimono, and ultimately to go with something a bit ‘different.’
